The Imaging and Ultrasound Department at Shahid Akbar Abadi Maternity Hospital is equipped with the most advanced diagnostic technologies and devices, offering a full range of routine and specialized imaging services. All procedures are performed under government tariffs and insurance coverage, ensuring accessibility for all patients.

Our Radiology Unit is supported by a PACS system, enabling physicians across the hospital to access imaging results instantly. Services include routine radiography, contrast radiography (HSG), ultrasound examinations (standard and Doppler), biophysical profiles, 3D/4D imaging, transvaginal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided biopsies, mammography, and bone densitometry.

We are proud to host one of the world’s most advanced mammography systems, available daily without prior appointment, under fully subsidized government tariffs.

Imaging Services

• All routine and standard radiographs

• Contrast radiography:

• HSG (Hysterosalpingography): Imaging of the uterus and fallopian tubes to assess congenital anomalies and infertility causes, performed by expert staff

• Bone densitometry (Norland system): Available daily from morning to evening under government tariffs

• Digital mammography (Hologic): Including advanced views such as magnification and true lateral imaging

Ultrasound Services

• Routine ultrasounds: abdomen, pelvis, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, etc.

• Specialized pregnancy ultrasounds:

• First-trimester screening (NT)

• Second-trimester screening

• Fetal echocardiography

• Color Doppler ultrasounds: uterus, ovaries, placenta, fetal growth (IUGR)

• Placenta accreta assessment

• Hysterosonography for intrauterine lesions (polyps, fibroids)
